The former residence of Li Fangying is located at No. 29 and No. 31 Sijie, Chongchuan District, and is a cultural heritage site protected by Nantong City.

　Li Fangying (1695–1755) was a Chinese poet and painter of the Qing Dynasty. His courtesy name was Qiu Zhong, and his art names included Qingjiang, Qiuchi, Yiyuan, and Baiyi Shanren. He resided in Jinling’s Jieyuan Garden and referred to himself as the Master of Jieyuan. He was one of the “Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou.” A native of Tongzhou (now Nantong, Jiangsu), he came from an official family and served as magistrate of Le’an County, Lanshan County, Qianshan County, and as acting prefect of Chuzhou. He was dismissed from office due to false accusations and later settled in Yangzhou’s Jieyuan Garden, where he earned a living by selling paintings. He associated with artists such as Li Fang, Jin Nong, and Zheng Xie, excelling in poetry, calligraphy, painting, and particularly in depicting plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo, chrysanthemums, pines, and fish.
