The Tongchonghaitai Chamber of Commerce Building is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Tongchonghaitai Chamber of Commerce Building is located at No. 44 Taowu Road, Nantong City. Constructed in 1920, it covers an area of over 26,000 square meters. The building faces south with its back to the north and features a symmetrical axial layout, with a portico, main hall, and conference hall aligned along the central axis, flanked by office buildings that form a courtyard. The building has a construction area of 4,707 square meters. It was designed and built by Sun Zhixia, a renowned modern architect from Nantong, and is a representative structure of Nantong, known as the first modern city in China. This European neoclassical-style building was once cited as a model for assimilating Western architectural art and as an outstanding example of modern architecture, being featured in both the "History of Chinese Architecture" and "20th Century Chinese Architecture." As one of the few industry association buildings from China’s modern era, it holds particular value and stands as a fine example of 20th-century cultural heritage. In 2013, it was designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
