Introduction The "March of Time," also known as the Waterfall Clock, is located right opposite the Customs House. Embedded within a green corridor, the clock stands 3.5 meters high and 2.7 meters long, featuring a dark green stepped design with ten tiers. Each tier is equipped with water jets controlled by a computer. When the fountain is activated, over a thousand streams of water form a cascading curtain that flows down the steps, creating a waterfall effect. Colored lights shine through the water curtain, displaying the local times of major world cities in Arabic numerals. The Waterfall Clock of the Times complements the Customs House Clock—in terms of location, one is high and the other low; in style, one is classical and the other modern; in mechanism, one is mechanically driven and the other computer-controlled. The “old and the young” enhance each other’s charm. Day and night, they remind people to value time and be punctual.
