The Bund History Memorial Hall is a patriotic education base.

The Bund History Memorial Hall was established in September 1995 and is jointly organized by the Huangpu District Government and the Shanghai Municipal Archives Bureau. Visitors can explore the development history of Shanghai through the evolution of the Bund. In January 2003, the memorial hall was designated as a Shanghai Patriotic Education Base.

The exhibition primarily features precious historical photographs, supplemented by representative archival documents and physical objects, showcasing the historical changes of the Bund over the past 150 years since its opening as a trading port. The memorial hall employs modern multimedia methods, using digital picture frames, projections, touch screens, and e-books to comprehensively present the century-long transformations of the Bund. The exhibits include both the old scenes of the Bund, where foreign banks gathered to form the "Wall Street of the East" and create the "International Architecture Complex," as well as content on the preservation of Bund buildings, the construction of the central business district, and the financial hub over the past 30 years of reform and opening up. The memorial hall is divided into two major sections: the history of the old Bund before liberation and the development of the new Bund after liberation. With the main themes of "The Bund—The Starting Point of Modern Shanghai’s Urban Development" and "The Bund—A Window into Shanghai’s Reform and Opening Up Today," it highlights Shanghai's modern and contemporary history through the ever-changing face of the Bund.
