The Shanghai Headquarters of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation refers to the former branch building of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in Shanghai from 1923 to 1955. Located at No. 12 on the Bund in Shanghai, it is also known as the Municipal Government Building and now serves as the headquarters of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. Construction of the building began on May 5, 1921, and was completed on June 23, 1923. It is considered one of the finest examples of Western neoclassical architecture in modern China.
