Museum inside the Peace Hotel
The Peace Hotel Museum is located within the Peace Hotel. Admission is free. As soon as you enter, there is a small staircase to the right; go up to the second floor, and you’ll find it. It exists as a unique part of the hotel. The museum displays a collection of “antique-grade” items such as a copper ice bucket engraved with the words “Cathay Hotel,” copper key tags, copper thermoses, copper ashtrays, and silver spoons, along with various vintage utensils that bear the marks of time. These artifacts record the glory left behind by the original owner, Victor Sassoon, and his celebrity and political friends. It is the first museum in China established in the form of a hotel.
