The Bank of China Historical Exhibition Hall (Shanghai Branch) is a patriotic education base.

The Bank of China Historical Exhibition Hall (Shanghai Branch) is located on the ground floor of the Bank of China Building on the Bund. The Bund Bank of China Building is the only structure among the Bund's International Architecture Cluster that was designed and constructed entirely by Chinese. Its foundation was laid in 1936, and it was completed in 1937.

The Bank of China Historical Exhibition Hall documents the 100-year journey of the Bank of China’s development. The exhibition layout follows the historical progression of the bank, divided into four sections: the Birth of the Bank of China, the Republican Era, the Period of Socialist Planned Economy, and the Reform and Opening-Up Era. Nearly a thousand exhibits are displayed, including historic photographs that recreate the past, banknotes issued by the bank, ledgers once in use, and many other precious cultural relics and images. These reflect how the 1911 Revolution gave birth to the Bank of China and the arduous journey of the development of national finance; they also showcase the Bank of China’s revival during the period of socialist construction and the remarkable achievements it made in supporting key national projects during the Reform and Opening-Up period.
