History Room of Shinan Middle School

The History Room of Shinan Middle School serves as a patriotic education base.

Originally named Loulihua Academy, Shinan Middle School was founded in 1860. It was renamed Qingxin Middle School in 1908 and taken over by the Shanghai Municipal Government in 1953, when it became Shinan Middle School. With nearly 150 years of history, the school has a proud revolutionary tradition and has produced many notable patriots. The "12.20" demonstration in support of the December 9th Movement, and after the outbreak of the August 13th Battle of Shanghai in 1937, students from Qingxin Middle School (now Shinan Middle School) were the first among Shanghai's secondary school students to launch anti-Japanese salvation activities.
