Reporters' Primary School is a school with a glorious revolutionary tradition. In 1938, under the influence of the Chinese Communist Party's anti-Japanese united front, Mr. Chen Heqin, a renowned modern Chinese educator and expert in child education, successively founded 10 Reporters' Schools, turning them into strongholds for the Communist Party to promote the resistance against Japan and the salvation of the nation, as well as to develop progressive forces. The school's history room displays the struggle and growth history of the Reporters' Guard, part of the pre-liberation history of Shanghai's children and youth movement. A statue of the Reporters' Guard stands in the playground, making it an ideal venue for activities such as Young Pioneers induction ceremonies.
