The site where Martyr Liang Renda bled at the Quangong Building serves as a patriotic education base.

On February 9, 1947, the Shanghai No. 3 District Department Store Trade Union organized a meeting titled “Committee for Promoting Domestic Goods and Boycotting American Goods” on the third floor of the union hall in the Quangong Building at No. 334 East Nanjing Road (now the Damon Jewellery Company). Guests including Guo Moruo and Deng Chumin were invited to give speeches. Upon learning of this, opposition forces of the Kuomintang organized thugs to storm the venue, assaulting attendees and causing ten people to sustain minor to serious injuries. Liang Renda, an employee of the Yong’an Company, was severely beaten and later died that afternoon at Renji Hospital.

A memorial plaque was erected in front of No. 328 East Nanjing Road in March 1985.
