Junling Apartments is a protected cultural heritage site of Shanghai.

Junling Apartments (Maoming Apartments)

Also known as Junling Guest House, it is now the Middle and West Buildings of Jinjiang Hotel, located at 65–125 Maoming South Road. Constructed in the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), it was designed by Palmer & Turner and built by Xin Sunji Construction Company. The building covers a floor area of 23,985 square meters. It has 19 floors and is 68 meters high, featuring a frame structure. The apartment complex has a “︹”-shaped layout, with the middle building rising 19 floors and gradually stepping back from the 13th floor upward to emphasize the central section. The ground floor is entirely used for storage, while the floors above the second consist of 77 apartment-style units. There are six elevators in total, four of which are for passengers.

The facade of the building is simply designed, using fireproof brown facing bricks, with vertical lines as decorative elements and partial marble embellishments at the entrance. The architecture follows the Art Deco style. It was designated as a protected cultural heritage site of Shanghai in 1989.
