Harbin Jingqi Culture Museum

The Jingqi Culture Museum is located in Lalin Town, Wuchang City, Harbin, and is a museum composed of both outdoor historical sites and indoor cultural relics. The ancient town of Lalin was first established in the eighth year of the Xianyong era of the Liao Dynasty (1072), built as a city by the Jin Kingdom. In the 23rd year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1684), an official granary was established here, commonly known as the Lalin Granary.

In the ninth year of the Qianlong reign (1744), a vice-governor’s office was established following immigration, and after the liberation, the area became a county and then a town, accumulating a history of 930 years. Existing sites include the old city gate, ruins of the vice-governor’s office, residences of former military commanders, the site of the mansion of Lord He, and the ruins of the Guan Di Temple. As Lalin predates Harbin by over 150 years, it is considered the mother culture of Harbin. In addition to preserving many remnants of the Jingqi culture—such as language customs, religious beliefs, and cultural and sports traditions—it also houses a large number of historical relics from the Qing Dynasty, including more than 1,120 precious artifacts.

The Lalin Jingqi Culture Museum was established in early 2003. Covering an area of over 100 square meters, its indoor collection includes jade artifacts, porcelain, silverware, ironware, stoneware, bronzeware, calligraphy and paintings, ancient coins, architectural relics, wooden items, embroidery, daily utensils, and more, spanning from the Stone Age to the Qin, Han, Tang, Liao, Jin, Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties.

By Bus: Take a bus from Harbin to Wuchang City, then transfer to a bus heading to Lalin Town.

By Car: From Wuchang City, enter Longshan Highway and drive 14.1 km, turn right onto Y104 and drive 15.5 km, turn left and drive 120 m, then turn right and drive 750 m, turn right onto G1211 and drive 10.2 km, continue straight onto Yachen Road and drive 5.4 km, continue straight onto G1211, drive 42.8 km along G1211, turn left onto Taiping Street and drive 590 m, turn left after passing Minxing Village on the left (90 m), drive 110 m, turn right onto X7152, and drive 80 m to reach the destination.
