Jinqquan National Forest Park is a national-level forest park.

Jinqquan National Forest Park is located over 60 kilometers southeast of Harbin on the Zhangguangcai Mountain Range, an extension of the Changbai Mountains. It includes the Songfeng Mountain Nature Reserve, Yuquan, and Pingshan Hunting Ground.

Yuquan hosts China’s largest enclosed hunting ground, spanning 3,000 hectares with rich wildlife including roe deer, Mongolian gazelles, hazel grouse, as well as several thousand sika deer and spotted deer for viewing. Visitors can ski, ride horses, take sleigh rides, and hunt pheasants, rabbits, and wild boars in the snowy wilderness—thrilling and fun at just ¥150 per person per hour. The Yuquan Ski Resort (¥10 entry fee) within the area is China’s earliest ski resort, covering 100 hectares and built in the 1930s. Known as the "Home of Skiing in China," it charges ¥25 per hour for skiing and ¥20 per person for lodging. Activities also include ice skating, sledding, spinning ice tops, horse-drawn sleds, dog sleds, double-decker sleds, and enjoying farm-style meals—all affordable options ideal for casual skiers.

After your adventure, head to the scenic Songfeng Mountain, which boasts numerous attractions across its 146-square-kilometer area and peaks at 627 meters above sea level. The steep and rugged terrain features uniquely shaped peaks. The northern area’s Five Peaks include renowned sights like the Golden Source Twin Peaks, Baitou Platform, Mountain Spring Well, and Stone Treasure. Particularly intriguing are the cliff carvings depicting legendary figures such as Han Xiangzi—fluid and vivid lines etched with skill, though the exact time and artist remain unknown.
