Huining Park

Huining Park in Acheng City is situated in the eastern part of Acheng, on the east side of Tongcheng Road, a provincial model greening road, and is 45 kilometers away from Harbin. It has now become an important cultural and tourism venue in the city. Approved by the municipal government, the park was built in 1993 with a total investment of 27 million yuan and opened to visitors in July 1995. Covering a total area of 17.5 hectares—including 5 hectares of water surface, 8.1 hectares of green space, and 3.6 hectares of paved roads and walkways—the park boasts a green coverage rate of 72%. It employs one professional English translator and one tour guide. Since its opening, the park has received nearly 30,000 visitors from national, provincial, municipal, and county-level inspection and tour groups, and attracts approximately 200,000 visitors annually. It has been honored with titles such as Provincial Class-A Park, Acheng City Civilized Unit, Acheng City Advanced Party Branch, Acheng City Designated Tourism Site, Advanced Collective in the Construction System, and Advanced Party Branch.

Huining Park boasts a beautiful environment and pleasant scenery. The park is divided into six major scenic areas: the amusement area, animal viewing area, water recreation area, lake center island, leisure area, and office/production area. The amusement area features rides such as the Log Flume, Wild Mouse roller coaster, Roller Coaster Dragon, Space Age, Bumper Cars, Carousel, and Flying Horse. In recent years, with the park’s continuous development, around twenty new attractions of various sizes have been added, including a high-altitude bicycle, Adventure City, Big Wave Sand Play, Pirate Ship, Mini Train, Gas-Powered Go-Karts, Dragon Water Ride, Children's Playground, and High-Altitude Bungee Jumping, offering residents a rich and colorful entertainment experience. The animal viewing area is a park-within-a-park, covering 0.6 hectares and featuring enclosures for large animals, waterfowl, and monkeys for visitors to observe. The water recreation area mainly includes sightseeing boats and pedal boats, along with a newly built water park, large indoor swimming pool, and fishing center. The lake center island area houses structures such as the Mingxiang Studio, Fishing Pier, Waterfall Viewing Pavilion, stepping stones across the stream, and other service facilities, making it an ideal spot for sightseeing, photography, and relaxation. The leisure area is located in the northern part of the park and features a spacious artificial plaza, a large variable fountain, and a multifunctional open-air stage. Each year, the park organizes a variety of cultural and artistic events around traditional holidays such as May Day, Children’s Day, Dragon Boat Festival, July 1st, August 1st, Senior Citizens’ Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day. Especially during the Spring Festival, the park has successfully hosted six consecutive Ice Lantern Garden Parties, showcasing the unique ice and snow resources of the north and displaying exquisite ice art. This has established the park as an important cultural and recreational venue in the city and a key institution for promoting spiritual civilization.
