Harbin Chao Mei Art Gallery

The Chao Mei Art Gallery is located within the JIN SHANGJING History Museum in Acheng District. It officially opened to the public in September 2006, with an exhibition area of 470 square meters. The gallery displays over 70 representative prints from different periods of Mr. Chao Mei’s career, as well as traditional Chinese paintings and calligraphy works. It also features 12 representative prints from Acheng.

Mr. Chao Mei is a renowned contemporary print artist and one of the founders of the Beidahuang print genre. His works are highly praised in China’s printmaking circles for their distinctive style—rich in life, strong in local character, grand in composition, profound in artistic conception, bold in color, and vigorous in carving technique. They resemble lyrical songs of nature and hymns to life.

Contemporary masters such as Qi Gong, Shen Peng, Hua Junwu, Wang Qi, and Huang Yongyu have each inscribed the gallery’s name.

Location: No. 49, Jinyuan Road, Acheng District, Harbin, Heilongjiang Province (near the suburbs)

Transportation: In Harbin, take a bus bound for Acheng and get off at the terminal, then transfer to Bus No. 7 to reach the gallery.

Driving route: From Harbin, take the Suiman Expressway for 25.7 km, exit at Acheng South/Wuchang, turn right onto the ramp and drive 430 m, then turn right onto Yanchuan Street and drive 1.2 km. Continue straight onto X006 for 680 m, then turn right and drive 90 m to arrive.
