Beian People's Park

Beian City People's Park is situated in a prime location on Central Road, spanning 27 hectares (11 hectares have been developed, and 16 hectares are yet to be developed). The park has received an investment of nearly ten million yuan, making it the largest comprehensive park in the nearby counties and cities that combines sightseeing and entertainment. Its preparation started in 1985, with the overall design handled by the Provincial Planning and Design Institute. It officially opened to the public on July 12, 1997.

Beian City People's Park integrates leisure, entertainment, and sightseeing. The park is planted with over 30,000 landscaping and ornamental trees, featuring more than 50 varieties of trees and shrubs, along with 50,000 square meters of lush green lawns. Colorful flowers surround exquisitely crafted classical structures, creating a beautiful scenery. In the 5,000 m² square, 30,000 flower arrangements in unique shapes present a grand and magnificent welcome to visitors. Covering 3.3 hectares, Willow Pond features the uniquely designed Huiyun Pavilion, which blends seamlessly with its reflection in the water. For a truly delightful experience, you can take a dragon-boat, electric boat, or steamboat ride on the pond. On the north bank of Willow Pond lies the Golden Dragon Spitting Jade scenic spot, where a giant coiled dragon rests atop Golden Dragon Mountain by the pond, appearing majestic as it seems to spew clouds and mist, forming a waterfall over 10 meters high. Symbolizing good fortune, Songhe Mountain stands in harmony with Golden Dragon Mountain, with an exquisite jade bridge stretching across Willow Pond between them. At the foot of Songhe Mountain, a spirited horse rears up as if galloping across vast distances, catching everyone’s eye. The pavilions scattered across the mountains and between them each boast their own unique style, and sitting on the classic stone benches inside offers a panoramic view of the entire park. Looking to the north, the Botanical Garden attracts visitors with its distinctive natural charm—five large, vibrant flower arrangements are inlaid within over 6,000 square meters of lawn, complemented by a colorful leisure plaza, winding scenic paths, and blooming flowering shrubs that draw visitors to pause and admire.
