Beian Martyrs' Cemetery

The Beian Martyrs' Cemetery is a cultural tourism attraction and a classic red tourism site.

The Monument to Revolutionary Martyrs of the Anti-Japanese War and Patriotic Self-Defense War was built

in 1949. It is located within the Beian Martyrs' Cemetery, south of the Qinghua Tools Factory area, and remains well-preserved with renovations. It is a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit.

In 1948, Yu Tianfang, then president of the Provincial Senate, initiated a fundraising campaign among the business community for its construction, and the official unveiling ceremony took place on August 1, 1949. The cemetery covers an area of 56,700 square meters, with the monument situated at its center. The base of the monument is 25 meters long and 24 meters wide, and the monument itself stands 2

5.5 meters tall. There are two sets of ascending steps, and the surrounding area is planted with an abundance of pine, poplar, and elm trees, highlighting the monument’s majestic presence.
