Located in Jinjiang Village, Manjiang Town, Fusong County, Baishan City, Jilin Province, it preserves a complete cluster of wooden houses. According to historical records from Fusong, the village was established in 1937. It is a cultural relic of the Manchu people in Changbai Mountain. The small wooden houses still in use today are locally called "mukele," meaning log cabins built by hewing and stacking round logs, fitting together tightly like interlocking teeth, able to withstand a hundred years of harsh weather without decay. These wooden houses represent the accumulation of wood culture created by the ancestors of the Manchu people in Changbai Mountain, and are a crystallization of the hard work and wisdom of the people of Changbai Mountain, featuring strong ethnic flavor and local characteristics.

Jinjiang Village is a cultural relic of the Manchu wood culture in Changbai Mountain and the birthplace of the Manchu people. During the Shang and Zhou dynasties, it belonged to the land of the Sushen, the ancestors of the Manchu. During the Qing Dynasty, Changbai Mountain was designated as a forbidden area for over 210 years. It is said that in the early years of the Republic of China, migrants from the Fenghuangcheng area of Liaoning Province entered the forbidden zone of Changbai Mountain to make a living by hunting. A small number of them settled in the primeval forest near Manjiang, now known as Jinjiang Village. They built houses by stacking logs and began a life described as “beating roe deer with sticks, scooping fish with bowls, pheasants flying into cooking pots, black bears and wild boars entering gardens, and people sharing beds with snakes.”

Jinjiang Wooden House Village is an irreplaceable cultural resource of the Manchu people, holding significant value for cultural research, preservation, and development.
