Site of Qinjiatun City

The Site of Qinjiatun City is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Site of Qinjiatun City is located to the east of Qinjiatun Town, Gongzhuling City, Siping, Jilin Province.

The ancient city has a rectangular layout and was built with rammed earth. The eastern wall is 1,028 meters long, the western wall 1,007 meters, the southern wall 672 meters, and the northern wall 673 meters. The base of the walls is 16 meters wide, the top 1 to 1.6 meters wide, and the remaining height ranges from 5 to 6.3 meters. There is a gate on each of the four sides, each with a barbican, as well as four battlements and four corner towers.

There are three layers of moats outside the city. Inside the city, there are multiple building foundations, where artifacts such as pottery, porcelain, tri-colored glazed ware, bronze mirrors, coins, bronze statues, iron horse fittings, six-ear cauldrons, pottery ridge ornaments, and roof tiles have been unearthed. The surface is scattered with roof tiles and pottery shards.

In May 2006, the Site of Qinjiatun City was designated as part of the sixth group of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units by the State Council.
