The Wujiazi City Site is an ancient city from the Liao and Jin periods, divided into inner and outer cities. The inner city is situated at the northeast corner of the outer city. The outer city is roughly rectangular in shape and is heavily damaged. The inner city is nearly square, featuring corner towers, but no gate structures or barbicans have been found. The surface of the outer city contains a relatively rich array of artifacts, mainly fine gray clay pottery shards and porcelain fragments with yellowish glaze. Artifacts in the inner city are sparsely distributed, with only a small number of fine gray clay pottery shards and yellow-glazed white porcelain fragments, along with slightly more green bricks and shard remnants of cloth-patterned tiles. There are clear differences in the relics between the two parts of the city.

The town has 11 administrative villages, 1 street district, and 95 natural hamlets. It is home to 8,672 households and a population of 33,600. The town administers 35 units and departments. The street district includes one middle school and one central primary school. The government is located in the center of Bawu Town Street District and has built a four-story office building covering 2,239 square meters and two residential buildings totaling 1,728 square meters.
