Laobiangang in Huaide Town was a border defense line constructed by the Goguryeo regime to defend against foreign invasions. The earthen rampart, mostly now converted into farmland or rural roads, retains clearer traces along the stretch from Yushu Village to Bangang Village. Some well-preserved sections show a base width of about 6 meters, a top width of about 3 meters, and a height of around 2 meters. According to local residents, sixty years ago, the rampart stood over the rooftops, exceeding a height of 5 meters.

Huaide Town: With a long history, Huaide Town is a century-old ancient town established in 1877 during the third year of the Guangxu reign in the Qing Dynasty when Huaide County was founded and the county government was located here. Famous sites such as the Confucius Temple and Guan Yu Temple, known as the “Eight Scenic Spots of Huaide,” showcase unique artistic characteristics and reflect the town’s profound historical culture. The “Introspection Stele” offers political insights that serve as a timeless warning to people. Located in the eastern suburbs, the Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery is an important patriotic education base that inspires the local community to strive for national development and hometown prosperity.
