The Siping Shanmen Mesozoic Volcanic Geological Park in Jilin Province is located in the eastern part of the Songliao Plain, in Shanmen Town, southeast of Tiedong District, Siping City. Its geographical coordinates range from 124°24′20″E to 124°27′51″E and from 43°02′19″N to 43°04′56″N, and the total area of the geological park is 49 square kilometers.

The Siping Shanmen Mesozoic Volcanic Geological Park in Jilin Province is a volcanic geological park dominated by Cretaceous rhyolite volcanic landforms and rhyolite columnar jointing. The well-preserved rhyolite volcanic geological relics provide valuable material for studying the crustal movements and volcanic activities of the late Mesozoic era, approximately 110 million years ago, and hold significant scientific research value and conservation importance. The human cultural landscapes surrounding the park, such as the ruins of the Yan State ancient city by Erlong Lake, the cultural remnants of the Yehe tribe, the birthplace of Empress Xiaoci, the grandmother of Emperor Shunzhi, and the ancestral home of Empresses Dowager Cixi and Empress Longyu, complement the Mesozoic volcanic geological features, together forming a beautiful tapestry of natural and cultural heritage.
