Wangjiangting Tourist Scenic Area

Wangjiangting Tourist Scenic Area, located on Wufeng Mountain in Sanhe Town, Longjing City (1 km from Sanhe Town and 55 km from Longjing), has an elevation of 329.1 meters and covers an area of approximately 330 square meters. The eastern slope of the mountain is very steep (with a gradient of about 30–33 degrees), while the northeastern and southwestern slopes are gentler (with a gradient of about 8–10 degrees). To the east, it faces Huining, North Korea—known as the “Little Hong Kong”—across the river. At the foot of the mountain lies the national first-class land port—Sanhe Port. The northern part connects to the Qingquan River valley. The Wangjiangting scenic area enjoys strong locational advantages: at the mountain’s base, the surging Tumen River winds around; halfway up the mountain, bright red azaleas sway gracefully. Standing atop the lofty Wangjiangting Pavilion, visitors can take in a vast panorama of sights with foreign charm right at their feet. The entire scenic area offers a bird’s-eye view of Huining City in North Korea, attracting large numbers of tourists every year. The designed shape of Wangjiangting resembles a boat moored by the river, evoking images of the timber rafts on the Tumen River.
