Xiaozhushan Site is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Xiaozhushan Shell Mound Site

The Xiaozhushan Shell Mound Site is located on Xiaozhushan Mountain in the western part of Wujiavillage, Guanglu Township, covering an area of 5,000 square meters. In 1978, 80 square meters were excavated. Its stratigraphic deposits are divided into five layers, representing three distinct cultural types from different periods.

The production tools unearthed from the lower layer include chipped scrapers, discoid tools, net sinkers, stone balls, as well as polished jade axes, grinding plates, and grinding sticks. The main daily-use items were straight-necked, cylindrical, flat-bottomed pottery jars in blackish-brown, dating back 6,000 years. The middle layer contains residential area remains such as post holes, with production tools mainly consisting of polished stone axes, stone shovels, stone knives, and stone arrowheads, and daily utensils including pottery jars, pots, tripods, and three-legged goblet-shaped vessels, dating to around 5,000 years ago. The upper layer produced polished production tools such as net sinkers, axes, adzes, knives, and arrowheads, dating to approximately 4,000 years ago. This site was designated as a Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit in July 1985 and recognized as a Patriotic Education Base by the Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department in 1994.

Protected Area: Within 20 meters to the south, 70 meters to the west, and 40 meters to the north, taking the site’s protection marker as the center point.

Construction Control Zone: A first-class construction control zone extends 20 meters beyond the protected area.
