Shengshui Temple in Zhuanghe City is a cultural tourism attraction.

Shengshui Temple in Zhuanghe, Dalian, is located adjacent to the renowned scenic area known as the "Little Guilin of the Northeast"—Bingyu Valley.

Shengshui Temple was first built in the 32nd year of the Jiajing reign during the Ming Dynasty (1553 AD), with its last major renovation taking place in the late Qing Dynasty, giving it a history of over a hundred years. In 1945, at the end of World War II, the temple was abandoned by monks due to the war, becoming a desolate site; it also suffered severe damage during the Cultural Revolution.

In 1992, at the invitation of the local government, the late Venerable Master Miaozhan from Nanputuo Temple in Xiamen assigned Venerable Master Xingmiao, who was then teaching at the Minnan Buddhist College, to revive Shengshui Temple. Braving the cold of November in the northeast, he moved into the empty, dilapidated temple with nothing but bare walls, beginning the arduous journey of rebuilding from scratch. Since then, the morning bells and evening drums once again echoed through the temple after being dormant for 50 years. For a time, Buddhist teachings flourished widely. The restoration of Shengshui Temple carries even greater significance as it ended the long-standing absence of a male monastic practice center in the entire southern Liaoning region.
