Beiwutun Site

The Beiwutun Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Liaoning Province.

The Beiwutun Site is located in Beiwutun, Xiyanggong Village, Heidao Town, Zhuanghe City, Dalian.

In 1981, during an archaeological survey, a Neolithic cultural site dating back 5,000–5,500 years was discovered near “Fairyland Bay,” and it was named the “Beiwutun Ancient Human Site” by experts. The excavation of the Beiwutun Ancient Human Site unveiled a chapter of human life and reproduction on Heidao Island during the Paleolithic Age.

Protected area: within 50 meters east, 10 meters south, 100 meters west, and 200 meters north of the protection marker stele.

Construction control zone: a first-class construction control zone within 150 meters east and north, and 100 meters south and west of the protected area.
