Anbo Hot Spring Tourist Resort is located in the town government seat of Anbo, Pulandian City, and is one of the 117 hot springs in China that have been developed and utilized. It is a national "AAA" level natural scenic area and the only tourist destination in the Dalian area characterized by hot spring therapy and leisure vacationing.

"Heaven opens the valley of springs, warmth lasting for a thousand autumns; when people arrive at the spiritual stream, all worries clear." These are verses left by predecessors praising the Anbo Hot Spring. According to the "Qinding Shengji Tongzhi," "120 li east of Fuzhou City lies Anboluo Mountain"—this place. "Anbo" is believed to be a homophonic variation of "Anboluo," and the hot spring was thus named after it. "Hot Spring Cleansing Impurities" was once one of the ancient Eight Scenic Spots of Fuzhou and is hailed as the "Number One Hot Spring in Asia."

Historical records indicate that during the Xianfeng era of the Qing Dynasty, two hot spring vents along the Anbo River began gushing water. At that time, "locals built huts over them as bathing spots to cleanse impurities," and "those suffering from rheumatism, skin diseases, and scabies were cured after just one bath." The therapeutic effectiveness of Anbo Hot Spring is related to its inherent physicochemical composition and properties. According to appraisals by China's geological authorities and United Nations geothermal expert Fairfax: Anbo Hot Spring water is colorless and transparent, with a slight smell of hydrogen sulfide, and reaches a maximum temperature of 75°C. It contains soluble silicic acid, and its water quality is of the bicarbonate-sulfate sodium type. The spring water contains more than 100

types of beneficial substances for the human body. Levels of sodium ions, fluoride ions, and mineralization are all within normal ranges, and the fluoride content is higher than that of ordinary groundwater, giving it significant medical value. Clinical applications have shown that Anbo Hot Spring water has notable therapeutic effects on various chronic rheumatic and rheumatoid arthritis conditions, neuralgia, post-traumatic sequelae, proliferative osteoarthritis, and a variety of skin diseases. In terms of water quality, volume, and development potential, Anbo Hot Spring holds greater advantages and appeal compared to other well-known hot springs in the province such as Tanggangzi Hot Spring and Xingcheng Hot Spring. The Anbo Hot Spring Tourist Resort is 150 kilometers from downtown Dalian and 145 kilometers from Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport. Covering a total area of 2.2 square kilometers, it currently hosts over 60 hotels, entertainment centers, sanatoriums, and guesthouses—including the five-star standard Anbo Hongyuan Mountain Villa—offering more than 3,000 beds. There are also four medium to large indoor swimming pools and one outdoor pool. Both indoor and outdoor facilities are advanced and fully equipped, receiving tens of thousands of domestic and international visitors annually.

The Anbo area enjoys a tranquil environment and pleasant climate. The purified air here contains 7–10 times more negative ions than in urban areas, making it ideal for rest and recuperation. There are numerous nearby tourist attractions: close by are the majestic ruins of the Han Dynasty’s Weiba Mountain City, the classic and elegant Liaonan famous temple Qingquan Temple, the picturesque Biliu River Reservoir, and the enchanting Pingdao Marine Resort. A bit farther away, you can reach Zhuanghe City’s Bingyu Scenic Area, Changhai County’s Dawang Island Tourist Zone, and Wafangdian City’s Xianyuwan Beach. You can even travel to Dalian’s Golden Pebble Beach National Tourist Resort, Benxi Water Cave, and Anshan Qianshan, among other scenic destinations.
