Baiyun Mountain is located in Yuantai Town, Pulandian City, and is an extension of the Changbai Mountain range. Baiyun Mountain boasts the grandeur of Mount Tai, the beauty of Huangshan, and the rugged wonder of Huashan. Its verdant pines, peculiar rocks, ancient temples, and drifting clouds form a breathtaking natural spectacle.

The Baiyun Mountain Temple was first built in the late Qing Dynasty, situated on nine evenly spaced cliff edges that jut out like dragon heads. On these cliffs stand over ten temples, including the Three Pure Ones Hall, Jade Emperor Hall, Guanyin Hall, Nine Saints Temple, and Hu San Taiye Temple—each exuding an ancient elegance, majestic presence, and divine radiance. At the peak of Jiulong Peak stands the Baiyu Tower, a white jade pagoda that suppresses the sea. From afar, the vast, sparkling waters of the Yellow Sea stretch as far as the eye can see; up close, ancient pines and cypresses blanket the mountains in rich green. The area is also home to natural mountain springs that nurture a rare treasure—the Chinese giant salamander. The panoramic view from Jiulong Peak, with its awe-inspiring grandeur, precipitous cliffs, and uniquely shaped rocks, is considered the finest in Northeast China. A master of Taoism, after observing the stones, remarked: “Mountain peaks within peaks, within mountains, within mountains; wondrous sights within wonders, within wonders.”
