Laomao Mountain is located atop the northern mountain range of Tongyi Township, 145 kilometers from downtown Pulandian and 10 kilometers from Anbo Town. With an elevation of 848 meters, it is the second highest peak in the Dalian area and the tallest in Pulandian City, and is hailed by visitors as the "Little Everest." The mountain features grand topography, beautiful scenery, numerous landscapes, and a wide variety of wildlife. Although this attraction remains undeveloped, it attracts over ten thousand visitors each year who come specifically to see it.

　Laomao Mountain retains its pristine natural landscape, with well-preserved natural scenery. The craftsmanship of nature has intricately carved the mountain’s rocks into a myriad of shapes, with grotesque stones scattered across the terrain, each remarkably lifelike. The Fuzhou River, originating at the foot of Laomao Mountain, is crystal clear and resembles a silver ribbon winding around the mountains and valleys as it flows westward. The undulating mountain ridges are covered with dense forests that block out the sun. The Chinese pine trees, all over 200 years old, have twisted, lush branches and uniquely shaped trunks; there are also more than 20 varieties of rare flowers and plants, while walnuts, hazelnuts, and hawthorns can be found everywhere along the slopes and valleys. Wild animals such as roe deer, badgers, raccoons, and rabbits roam the woods. Laomao Mountain is also home to rare reptiles and amphibians, with over ten precious snake species—such as the “tree bark lizard” and “grass flyer”—living among the grass and shrubs. The internationally protected species, the Chinese salamander, swims in the mountain streams and pools. Currently, Laomao Mountain serves as a rare ecological tourism destination in the northern mountainous region of Pulandian City, awaiting development by those with vision.
