Pulandian Erlongshan National Forest Park is a national-level forest park.

Erlongshan National Forest Park is located 4 kilometers south of the center of Pulandian City, covering a total area of 55,000 mu. With undulating mountain ranges and lush forests, it is an ideal destination for sightseeing, leisure, and vacation.

Erlongshan Forest Park features 15 scenic areas and over 20 attractions, including the Longmen Scenic Area, Tianlongge Scenic Area, Erlongshan Temple Scenic Area, and Shenlongtan Scenic Area. Tianlongge is built atop Erlongshan Mountain, accompanied by attractions such as a pagoda, the Laughing Buddha, and the Majestic Lion Patrol. From the summit of “Tianlongge,” the entire Erlongshan scenic area unfolds before your eyes. Additionally, you can gaze upon the shimmering waves of the Bohai Sea and the dotted fishing boats on the Yellow Sea—climbing one mountain to view two seas is truly a marvel on Earth.

The site also includes the 400-year-old Erlongshan Temple and the legendary “Shenlong Well.” It is said that the Shenlong Well is sacred water bestowed by the Dragon King to save all beings. The well water never dries up throughout the seasons, remains crystal clear, is cool in summer and warm in winter, and has a sweet and refreshing taste. The “Shenlong Pool” has a mirror-like surface that reflects the picturesque scenery of Erlongshan, hence the saying, “The beauty of Erlongshan rivals a painting, and Shenlong Pool is the painting within the painting.” The area is home to over a hundred tree species, including Korean pine, red pine, fir, spruce, black locust, and juniper. Lush greenery thrives year-round across the mountains, valleys, and beyond.

Since 1997, Erlongshan Forest Park has become a main venue for the annual “Dalian Locust Flower Festival” due to its unique natural conditions. The park boasts nearly 100 species of wildflowers for visitors to admire. It is also home to wild pheasants, cuckoos, orioles, and hundreds of migratory bird species that inhabit the area in spring and autumn, creating a symphony of birdsong. Wild rabbits and other wildlife also make occasional appearances. Wandering through this serene environment is an unforgettable experience, making it the perfect place to enjoy forest bathing and connect with nature. Erlongshan Forest Park is not only a premier destination for forest tourism but also serves as a green “business card” of Pulandian City’s openness to the world, extending a friendly welcome to visitors from all directions.

Transportation by Bus: Take a bus from Dalian to Pulandian, then transfer to bus No. 104 and get off at the final stop, Forest Park.

Self-Driving Route: Starting from downtown Pulandian, follow Nanshan Road - Liangpu Road, turn left at Erlongshan Village, and continue straight to reach the destination.
