Pingdao is the only island village within Pulandian City. It is located 1.8 nautical miles from Pikou Port, stretching approximately 1,500 meters from east to west and about 500 meters from north to south. Though covering a total area of just 79.5 hectares, it is hailed as a “tranquil boat in the vast blue sea” — an ideal destination for both summer retreats and winter escapes.

The area enjoys one of China’s rare temperate maritime climates, with no intense heat in summer or severe cold in winter. For over 200 days a year, from mid-April to early November, the climate remains pleasant. The island is covered with tall trees and boasts well-preserved vegetation, free from industrial pollution. The air is fresh, and its four-sided sandy beaches serve as natural bathing spots and offshore fishing grounds. It can truly be called a “pure land” in the boundless blue sea.

The Pingdao Resort is built here. The seabed around the island is mostly sandy, with crystal-clear waters that are especially suitable for swimming and sunbathing. The rocky shores surrounding the island are rich in shellfish, which can be collected during low tide, along with seafood delicacies and through sea fishing activities. The area also abounds in sea cucumbers, abalones, prawns, and oysters, offering a wide variety of fresh seafood dishes.

The resort’s villa architecture has a unique style, making it a perfect destination for leisure, vacation, conferences, entertainment, and sea bathing. There are currently more than 10 mid- to high-end guest rooms (suites), over 200 beds, and more than 200 dining seats, as well as various recreational and sports facilities.
