Tangtun Pagoda

Tangtun Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Liaoning Province.

Tangtun Pagoda is located on the western hill of Tangtun Village, Shuangta Town, Pulandian City. It is a stone pagoda from the Jin Dynasty. In 1115 AD, the Jin Dynasty replaced the Liao Dynasty in ruling the present-day Dalian area, and at that time, what is now Pulandian City was under the jurisdiction of Fuzhou. The pagoda is surrounded by mountains on all sides, with Tabitun to the east, Paizigou to the west, Xiaotengtun to the south, and Zhoujiagou to the north. The pagoda is built of granite, stands approximately 7 meters tall, and consists of three parts: the base, the body, and the top. The base resembles a large millstone, and starting from the second tier, each level is carved with a lotus pedestal. Small niches in the pedestals house seated Buddha statues, totaling ten. The body of the pagoda is octagonal, tapering upward by tier, with eaves on the roof of each level. It was listed as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit in 1979.
