Dalian Changchun An

Longyin Spring, also known as Longyan Spring, is located in Xiaonan Village, Shuishiying, Lushun. It served as the water source for one of China’s early urban water supply projects in the late Qing Dynasty, providing water to the Lüshun Port base of the Beiyang Fleet and nearby residents. With a daily output of 1,500 cubic meters, it could supply water for 20,000 military personnel and civilians, marking the beginning of China’s modern tap water system.

The Longyin Spring Stele, erected in the 14th year of the Guangxu reign (1888), is a true historical record of this water supply project. From the late Qing Dynasty until the late 1970s, Longyin Spring played a vital role in supplying water to Lüshun Port and nearby residents. It is a provincial-level cultural heritage site.

Changchun An is located in Changchun An Tun, Tuchengzi Village, Sanjianpu Subdistrict, Lushun, Dalian. The temple complex consists of the Taishan Hall, Bodhisattva Hall, Mountain Gate, and more, surrounded by rolling hills and set in an elegant environment. According to the “Inscription Preface for the Construction of the Taishan Hall at Changchun An,” erected during the 6th year of the Yongzheng reign (1728) when the temple was renovated, Changchun An was originally a small grass hut dedicated to Guanyin, built in the early Ming Dynasty. Despite multiple renovations, it still retains architectural features from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a municipal-level cultural heritage site.
