Introduction

Dalishu Village is situated in the southern suburbs of Fengcheng City, Dandong, and is a long-established model for agricultural tourism, known as the “Number One Village in Eastern Liaoning.” At the national training workshop and observation meeting for the acceptance of industrial and agricultural tourism demonstration sites, Deputy Director Sun Gang repeatedly pointed out that there is a Dalishu Village in Eastern Liaoning which has, over the past few years, vigorously developed agricultural tourism, effectively boosting rural prosperity and increasing farmers’ incomes.

Located 10 kilometers southwest of Fengcheng City in Liaoning Province, the area covers a total of 21.37 square kilometers and is just 5 kilometers from the Fengcheng exit of the Shenyang-Dandong Expressway.

The scenic area consists of Flower and Fruit Mountain, Yaowang Valley, Film City, Lianzhu Three Lakes, and an Exhibition Hall. It is a comprehensive tourism destination integrating flower and fruit viewing, fruit picking, leisure and entertainment, vacationing and summer retreats, as well as conference reception. Its idyllic landscapes, traditional Chinese medicine culture, and authentic farmhouse cuisine are highly favored by visitors. The scenic area can accommodate 500 people for conferences, 500 for lodging, and 3,000 for dining simultaneously per day.

The Dalishu Scenic Area is a place where humans and nature coexist harmoniously. On Flower and Fruit Mountain, spring offers a feast of blooming flowers while autumn features the unique experience of harvesting golden fruits. At the mountaintop, the majestic "Gan" Character Cultural Square and three memorial monuments—"Work from Dawn till Dawn," "Work Under the Scorching Sun," and "Work Through Starlit Nights"—tell the story of the remarkable achievements made by the people of Dalishu under the leadership of Mao Fengmei over 30 years of hard pioneering work. They also embody the "Gan" spirit forged through diligence, hard work, and ingenuity. An 18-kilometer Schisandra Vine Corridor winds along the mountain terrain, leading visitors to Yaowang Valley. Upon entering the valley, one first encounters walls covered with traditional Chinese health preservation teachings, followed by temples where visitors can pay homage to 13 revered figures in Chinese medicine. When tired, rest and pray for blessings at Wufu Terrace; when thirsty, drink the sweet water from the Yin-Yang Spring. Stopping by the Dalishu Water Town, you can first view the ruins of the Western Han Dynasty’s Wuci Ancient City and experience the “Yan-Dong Spirit.” A visit to the Exhibition Hall will allow you to witness the 30-year journey of struggle by the people of Dalishu. Meanwhile, in the Mao Family History and Affairs Exhibition Hall, you can learn more about the legendary life of the great leader Mao Zedong. At the Northern Film City, experiencing the intersection of time and space and the shifting of daily life will offer a truly unique sensation. While touring numerous film and TV drama shooting locations, you can not only meet stars up close but also take on the role of an extra and enjoy a taste of stardom. The hundred-acre fruit and vegetable picking base allows you to sample free of charge Israeli tomatoes and cucumbers, as well as Chinese strawberries and cantaloupes, with your entrance ticket.
