Fengcheng Yulong Lake

The Yulong Lake Scenic Area is located in Yulong Town, Fengcheng City, 41 kilometers from Fengcheng City and 40 kilometers from Dandong. The main body of the scenic area is the Tumen Reservoir, which is the only national second-class large reservoir in Fengcheng City and also the first gravity dam-structured reservoir built with mortar-set stone in Dandong. It was completed and began storing water in September 1976, with a total storage capacity of 186 million cubic meters. In 1983, it was approved as a municipal-level scenic area by the Dandong Municipal Government. Covering an area of 58 square kilometers, it is one of the larger pollution-free tourist water bodies in Liaoning. The main scenic zones include the dam front area, the lake area, and the Yulong area. Tourist facilities such as the Yulong Lake Resort, Fishing Villa, and Dragon Pearl Island have been built. New attractions such as lotus ponds, fishing ponds, and natural bathing beaches have been added, along with tour boats and speedboats for visitors. The area receives approximately 100,000 visitors annually.
