Liaoning Fengcheng Caohe National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Liaoning Fengcheng Caohe National Wetland Park is situated in the drainage areas of the Erdao River and Caohe River in the southeastern suburbs of Fengcheng City. It has a planned total area of 618 hectares, including various types of wetlands such as permanent river wetlands, floodplain wetlands, marsh wetlands, ponds, fish ponds, and rice paddies, covering a total of 474.35 hectares, accounting for 76.76% of the total area of the wetland park. The Caohe National Wetland Park is close to the city, enjoys a superior geographical location, and benefits from convenient transportation. It boasts abundant resources of waterfowl and wetland plants.

The establishment of Caohe National Wetland Park plays an important role in strengthening the ecological civilization construction of Fengcheng, maximizing the ecological and social benefits of the wetland park, supporting regional socioeconomic development, enhancing the city’s image, and building “Shanshui Fengcheng, a Health Resort”—a livable eco-tourism city in the northeastern region.
