Tuan Shan Ruins

Era: Spring and Autumn to Warring States Period

The Tuan Shan Ruins are situated 50 meters west of Tuan Shan Gou Village in Ligou Township, approximately 20 kilometers from the county town. Located on the summit of Tuan Shan, the site forms an oval-shaped elevated terrace, measuring 150 meters east-west and 50 meters north-south, with cultural strata 1.5–3 meters deep. It is a settlement of the Shang and Zhou periods. The site consists of two parts: residential dwellings and a burial ground, covering a total area of over 40,000 square meters. The southwestern slope of the mountain has scattered stone and pottery artifacts, indicating the cemetery area. The adjacent Xigang area served as the living quarters. The cemetery area is roughly 100 meters long from north to south and 40 meters wide from east to west, totaling about 4,000 square meters. A total of 19 stone coffin tombs have been excavated at the site, along with 138 pieces of stone and pottery artifacts.

In 2001, the Xituan Shan Ruins were designated as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the State Council.
