People's Park

Anshan People's Park is the largest central park in Anshan. Originally named People's Square, it was first built in 1983, covering an area of approximately 44,000 square meters, and served as a major venue for large-scale events in Anshan. In 1999, the Anshan Municipal Government carried out a comprehensive renovation of the park. After the renovation, People's Park covers an area of 56,000 square meters, including 35,000 square meters of lawn, over 800 various trees and shrubs, and nearly 5,000 square meters of patterned landscaping.

From a bird’s-eye view, the shapes of the square and pathways in the park resemble a guitar flowing with vibrant music, symbolizing the Asan citizens’ aspiration for healthy and refined cultural leisure activities. The park features a sunken plaza in the center, surrounded by 14 musical columns and more than ten sets of fitness equipment. The plaza can accommodate over ten thousand people and receives around 300,000 visitors annually, making it a popular spot for leisure and entertainment among locals.
