In Taiwan, convenience store chains are an important part of residents' daily lives, and the same is true in Japan. On Sakurajima in Kyushu, there is a rarely seen"brown FamilyMart", which has painted its exterior brown to match the local characteristics, making it one of the area's distinctive features.

Japan's Sakurajima volcano is quite famous and has given the island's residents unique volcanic soil, hot springs, and beautiful landscapes. Locals say that because Sakurajima Volcano is within a national park, all buildings in the park must be designed to harmonize with the natural environment. As a result, the only FamilyMart on the entire island has abandoned its traditional green color scheme in favor of a brown exterior. Even the small charging station nearby has been painted brown — a truly unique sight.
