Taiwan Salt’s Tongxiao Water Play Square Opens！Taiwan’s Only Free Area for Playing in Salty and Fresh, Cold and Hot Water

The Water Play Square at Taiwan Salt’s Tongxiao Refined Salt Plant, built using deep ocean water, officially opened to the public on the 27th, offering free water play for visitors. The park features facilities such as an ocean alkaline ion water fountain, an ocean thermal spring stream, a LOVE art installation, and a sundial experience area. It remains open year-round, closing only on Chinese New Year’s Eve.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Taiwan Salt’s Tongxiao Refined Salt Plant, which has specially created Taiwan’s only water play square that combines salty and fresh water, as well as hot and cold options. Just opened on the morning of the 27th, it immediately attracted large crowds of visitors eager to be among the first to experience it.

Taiwan Salt stated that to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Tongxiao Refined Salt Plant and the opening of the Water Play Square, visitors can enjoy a 50% discount on shopping at the plant before November 30. They can also tour the factory production line, visit the “Salt Story Museum,” and grab limited-time promotional offers.

Taiwan Salt’s Tongxiao Refined Salt Plant is the main production base for civilian table salt, ocean alkaline ion water, and ocean-generated water in Taiwan. In recent years, it has actively developed new types of salt, skincare products, health foods, and cleaning supplies. It has also established the “Salt Story Museum” exhibition and sales center, becoming a salt-themed tourist factory.
