Breeze XinYi Combines Shopping with Gourmet Delights: 8 “Only-in-Taiwan” Restaurants Dominate Taipei’s East District

Breeze XinYi is set to grandly open on November 5th, with its various brands emphasizing uniqueness in Taiwan, in the Xinyi District, and within the Breeze group. Taking restaurants as an example, among the over ten dining establishments set to open, eight will be the first of their kind in Taiwan. The types of restaurants range from Chinese cuisine, steakhouses, Japanese eateries, to Hong Kong-style dim sum and dessert shops—clearly aiming to capture the Xinyi District’s gourmet market.

The eight first-in-Taiwan restaurants are:Hong Kong Dim Sum Delights,Han Kim Mapo,Grill DOMI KOSUGI Western Cuisine,MORTON’S Steakhouse,sa le vithe dessert brandCova,Tsukumiand the one located on the 47th floorTaipei 47. Hong Kong Dim Sum Delights is introduced to Taiwan by entertainer Lollipop’s Wei, while Taipei 47 is the first northern Taiwan venture by southern restaurant group Daba Catering, mainly offering Chinese dishes. Sa le vi is a new brand under the international restaurant KU DE TA.

) The century-old Italian dessert brand COVA is coming to Taiwan, set to open at the upcoming Breeze XinYi Taipei. The official opening date for COVA Taiwan is expected to be November 5th. COVA has been in business since 1817, making it nearly 200 years old. It was once a gathering place for literati and is now present not only in Italy but also in Japan, as well as in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing in China. COVA’s cakes, chocolates, ice creams, and coffee are all highly recommended by bloggers as must-try treats.

Han Kim Mapo is a new type of Korean grilled meat restaurant created by Doufu Co., Ltd., the company behind Juandoufu. It combines the essence of various Korean grilled meats, using fast-heating “cast iron” cookware, paired with popular Korean cocktails, and even offers appetizers that incorporate local Taiwanese fruits and vegetables, freely available at the open counter.

MORTON’S Steakhouse opened its first location in 1978 on Chicago’s National Avenue in the United States. It now has 76 chain outlets globally, primarily using USDA PRIME grade beef, with Australian wagyu as a secondary option. Following Hong Kong’s Tim Ho Wan’s entry into Taiwan, Singapore’s Paradise Dynasty is one of the largest food and beverage chains in Singapore. Its legendary Dreamy Eight-Colored Xiao Long Bao is unforgettable to many. These dumplings are colored with entirely natural ingredients, yet remain similarly priced to regular xiao long bao.
