1. Taipei Zhongshan District – Chomi Coffee
Located in Taipei’s Zhongshan District, Chomi Coffee has created a Totoro out of a sesame cheesecake. The main body is made of cheesecake, coated with gray sesame seeds, and topped with a layer of white fresh cream to represent the belly. The eyes are made from chilled sesame chocolate, resulting in a dreamy Totoro figure. Beside the cake, chocolate sauce is used to depict the character of Kuro (Little Black), further immersing you in the Totoro scene. So adorable, you won’t want to eat it!

This shop is actually called Tokyo Gangu Rakuen (Tokyo Toy Paradise). The first floor sells a wide range of cartoon-related merchandise, while the Totoro Café is hidden on the second floor. Both the decor and furnishings are closely tied to Totoro. The most distinctive offerings here are the Totoro coffee and Totoro cookies—the coffee features Totoro illustrated in powdered form, and the cookies clearly display his image. Visitors can also see many non-for-sale Totoro displays owned by the owner. Totoro fans definitely shouldn’t miss this place.

3. Taichung West District – Juelue Café
Juelue Café is a classic afternoon tea café that takes on a cozy and adorable theme. Can you find Totoro? He’s on their specially made mini iron skillet soufflé. The soufflé not only features a large scoop of vanilla ice cream and grilled marshmallows, but also a lightly sugared soufflé base and freshly sliced fruits. Most importantly, there are Totoro sesame handmade cookies and Kuro (Little Black) handmade cookies on top. With such a rich variety of toppings, it’s both super cute and super satisfying!

In recent years, macarons have become a popular sweet treat, and Totoro has naturally hopped on this trend. The Nina Chocolate Workshop Nina has created Totoro macarons. The tiny macaron manages to capture the essence of Totoro, showing just how delicate the craftsmanship is.
