Winter light-ups are underway across Japan. Tokyo’s Shiodome is always a must-visit spot for winter travelers. The Caretta Shiodome Christmas light-up can be enjoyed from mid-November until Valentine’s Day the following year, with numerous decorations casting a romantic glow over the cold winter nights.

As one of the “Three Must-See Winter Light-Ups in Eastern Japan,” Caretta Shiodome’s Christmas light-up celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, themed “Blue Star Valley.” Using 200,000 LED lights to illuminate the main area, it paints the night with romance. A spectacular light show every 20 minutes, accompanied by music, creates a magical atmosphere that attracts many visitors and momentarily makes them forget the winter chill.
