As 2016 approaches, have you decided how to greet the first light of the new year? Located in the mountainous area ofErliao in Zuozhen, Tainan, it is the place closest to an urban area in Taiwan to welcome the sunrise, and has become a popular spot for the traditionin recent years. The Siraya National Scenic Area Administration also announced the details of its sunrise event, which, just like last year, will impose a 3,000-person limit and require tickets for both entry and shuttle bus access.

The Siraya National Scenic Area Administration stated that for the 2016 sunrise event, they have built an observation deck with great views in Erliao, capable of accommodating a thousand people, and will invite the Ten Drum Art Percussion Group to perform. Together, you can welcome the new year amid the powerful beat of drums.

According to theticket collection method for the sunrise event released by the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration, there are currently 13 designated ticket pick-up locations across Taiwan. From December 14 to 31, 1,000 tickets for the newly completed “Sunview Platform” observation deck will be distributed first. Once those are gone, 2,000 general admission tickets will be issued, with a limit of four tickets per person.。
