This year, you don't need to travel abroad to ring in the New Year with foreigners too.Global travel search engineSkyscannerhas released a list of the top ten countries and regions most interested in visiting Taiwan during the 2016 New Year period, with Hong Kong, Japan, and South Koreataking the top three spots, and the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia also making the list.

This survey is based on statistics from global users searching for Taiwan as a destination via the Skyscanner website or mobile app, with departure dates between December 28 and 31, 2015. Among the top ten countries and regions most eager to visit Taiwan for New Year’s, seven are from Asia, indicating that price and convenience are key factors for travelers when planning their trips.
