The three-story-tall "Lost Little Bear" is back – The Aerospace City Land Art Festival makes its debut

The three-story-tall "Lost Little Bear" is back in Taoyuan this time as a female bear, now wearing a pink outfit with a flower on her head. Her super-cute appearance has drawn passersby to stop and take photos. The second Aerospace City Land Art Festival is themed "The Return of the Heroine Bear, the Advance of the Green Social Alliance," and features a small farmers’ market, live music performances, and open-air cinema in the fields, with a special bear-lighting event every evening at six.

Lü Wenzhong, the designer of the Lost Little Bear and also an animation director, created the bear to commemorate his father, who tragically committed suicide by drinking pesticide in protest against farmland expropriation last year. He also initiated the first Aerospace City Land Art Festival, which attracted over 50,000 visitors. This year, the bear was also exhibited at the Taichung Land Art Festival and the Miaoli Land Art Festival.

In fact, the deeper meaning behind the "Lost Little Bear" is to express the helplessness and sense of loss people feel when their land is taken away, as well as to silently protest against the destruction of the original landscape and local culture.
