The “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle—Salt Coast Line,” promoted by the Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan National Scenic Area Administration, has recently added new routes, including “Chiayi Xiaomeili” and “National Palace Museum Southern Branch,” both of which have become new stops. On holidays, a cruise-style train service is offered, with a one-day transportation ticket available for just NT$200, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan along the way.

With the recent opening of the National Palace Museum Southern Branch and the colorful mural style of Chiayi Xiaomeili, these two destinations have become new highlights in the Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan scenic area. To allow visitors to experience the charm of both sites, the Yuanchang Management Office has specially added them as stops on the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle—Salt Coast Line.” Travelers can enjoy the cultural and scenic blend of Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan along this route.

At the same time, to provide a more complete experience of the unique features at each attraction, this route also offers a “cruise-style train” on holidays. Passengers can explore the cultural beauty of each stop during brief pauses along the journey, letting the train ride help relieve the stress of daily life.

Stops: Chiayi HSR, National Palace Museum Southern Branch, Xiantian Temple, Dongshi Fisherman’s Wharf, Budai, Xiaomeili, Nanxun Daise Temple, Beimen
Schedule: Two round-trip departures daily between Chiayi and Beimen, Tainan
Cruise-style Train Info: Operating every holiday starting January 1, 2016, with one departure per day. A one-day transportation ticket is available for NT$200.
