Plum blossom season has arrived. Located within the Yangmingshan National Park area, Yangming Villa was severely damaged by Typhoon Soudelor last August, causing all its plum trees to collapse. After being uprighted by the Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters, despite the warm winter and early spring, the plum blossoms have quietly begun to bloom. If there’s no rain,this week is expected to mark their peak, which should last about two weeks. Visitors eager to admire the plum blossoms should seize the opportunity to book a visit now!
Known as “Chiang Kai-shek’s last residence,” Yangming Villa is now an important attraction and historical site within Yangmingshan National Park. It is the main building designed with participation from former President Chiang Kai-shek, completed in the 59th year of the Republic of China (1970), and also his largest and final new residence. The area is planted with his favorite plum blossoms.

In addition, Yangming Villa offers visitor consultation and guided tour services. There are currently static displays featuring old maps and photos in the Dazhong Building, as well as an exhibition of letters and calligraphy from patriots and figures of the early Republican period. From February to March, a series of spring-themed cultural lectures is also planned. Visitors can also explore Grass Mountain Villa, the Floral Clock, and the verdant Presidential Tunnel known as the “President’s Road” to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery.
