On their revisit to Miss V Bakery, aside from maintaining the high standard of cinnamon rolls and various handmade cakes, the savory brunch items were also generous in portion and delicious in flavor. Everyone has a completely different interpretation of dreams—some choose to keep their dreams in their hearts forever, while others are busy putting them into action. For Bear and Meow, no matter whether the dream is ultimately perfectly achieved, the most important thing is to have tried their best. Perhaps because of this shared belief, after talking with Virginia, one of the founders of Miss V Bakery, a few times, she and her best friend partner created this Miss V Bakery (it’s really impressive, and they try to make everything themselves as much as possible).

Last April, Bear and Meow visited Miss V Bakery for the first time. Though the space at their Chifeng Street location is not large, it embodies their concept of elegance and comfort.

Every corner is the result of their careful thought and design. In fact, you can sense Miss V Bakery’s philosophy just from the environment—it’s not about exaggerated or flashy luxury, but definitely the best combination of comfort and healthy handmade creations.

At Miss V Bakery, the vast majority of the meals and ingredients are homemade, and the cinnamon rolls, various handmade cakes, and double apple pies are must-try items (of course, Virginia says she hasn’t started growing fruits and vegetables yet). The great taste from their first visit has stayed vividly in Bear and Meow’s memories, so later whenever friends visited, or cinnamon rolls were mentioned, or even when Bear gave interactive lectures to classmates at National Taiwan University, Miss V Bakery’s cinnamon rolls were always the highlight and example. As time passed, both BearMeow and Virginia worked hard in their respective jobs and encouraged each other along the way. Later, Miss V Bakery also moved to a new spot on the same Chifeng Street. Bear and Meow definitely revisited the new version of Miss V Bakery to relive the wonderful cinnamon rolls and other handmade cakes.

Visually, the new Miss V Bakery feels more refined, with a white facade that exudes purity.

The overall vibe also feels stronger than before, and Meow really likes this flavor and the sense of grandeur it conveys.

At Miss V Bakery, besides various handmade cakes and cinnamon rolls, they also offer handmade wedding cakes and baking and cooking classes. Bear rarely praises others for being multi-talented, but Virginia is truly admirable.

Opening the door to the new Miss V Bakery, the space is noticeably more spacious and can accommodate more guests.

It’s almost like this every day—the business is booming and the seats are nearly always full. But even so, Bear and Meow still had to come back and see how the flavors are.

The most comfortable spot is the sofa area on the right as you enter, which is also everyone’s favorite space. At Miss V Bakery, they generally operate on a self-service basis—utensils and water are self-serve, and diners are asked to return their plates to the collection counter after eating. Regular mealtime is two hours, and holidays are 1.5 hours (so that everyone gets a chance to eat!).

As Bear and Meow ate, they observed that everyone was really very well-behaved. Meow really likes this feeling—only through mutual respect can you achieve better dining quality.

Aside from the ambiance, the most important thing at Miss V Bakery is the variety of handmade desserts, but now it’s not just about sweets. Miss V Bakery has also undergone a complete transformation, excelling even in savory items and brunch offerings.

Of course, there’s also the most important signature dessert series. So even if it’s your first visit, just take a look at the chalkboard at the counter to see what delicious options are available today!!

Next, while Meow is still deciding what to eat, let’s have Bear show you what’s inside Miss V Bakery’s glass display case first. First up is the most iconic classic cinnamon roll—original and icing flavors are 65 NT each, while the cheese cream version is 80 NT each.

Next, the small and cute Little Ding-Dong (15 NT each) is also a must-order item.

Both chocolate and original flavors are great~

Then there’s the devil’s chocolate cake (130 NT per slice), which Meow really loves.

Plus three different flavors of scones (65 NT each).

No matter the item, they’re all neatly displayed in the case, and you can really feel their substantial quality.

Next, the double apple pie (170 NT per serving) has always been a favorite item of Bear and Meow and is a must-buy on every visit.

There are also three flavors of muffins, including lemon yogurt and banana at the same price, plus the uniquely flavored and labor-intensive lychee rose raspberry flavor at 80 NT each (all quite creative).

Aren’t they all beautiful?

And the uniquely fragrant Earl Grey cheesecake (140 NT per slice).

This time, we ordered too much, so we had to skip this New York-style cheesecake that we had tried last time (we’ll come back for it next time).

Next up, there’s also the highly distinctive carrot cake (150 TWD, per slice). This kind of cake is starting to be made more in Taiwan, but it’s actually very common abroad and is one of the desserts many parents are happy to let their kids try.

Then comes the rich and diverse menu time—Miss V Bakery Cafe’s menu is all clearly written.

There are also plenty of options when it comes to drinks~

Teas and coffees are the specialties here—simple yet with a really enjoyable flavor.

After ordering a bunch of savory and sweet treats, Bear and Meow contentedly collapsed on the sofa, and the staff quickly brought over two drinks. On the right is Meow’s hot latte (130 TWD, per cup), and on the left is Bear’s iced Americano (100 TWD, per cup). Now, finally, the good stuff from Miss V Bakery Cafe is about to be served slowly~

The first dish to appear is actually Miss V Bakery Cafe’s recent savory star—the bacon sunny-side-up French toast cinnamon roll (180 TWD, per serving). For friends in Taiwan, most tend to separate savory and sweet dishes, but if you’re abroad, you’ll often come across this unique blend of sweet and savory flavors (which is also Bear’s favorite kind of mix). So seeing such a dish at Miss V Bakery Cafe is genuinely thrilling.

The beautifully runny egg, paired with red crispy bacon, plus sweet caramel and cinnamon rolls—the presentation alone is super appealing.

Without further ado, we cracked the egg open, and the yolk mixed with the caramel, cinnamon roll, and bacon all in one bite—a rich aroma paired with a subtle sweetness. It’s truly a multi-layered flavor experience that’s hard not to fall for. To be honest, this savory dish isn’t extremely difficult or overly fancy to make, but eating it is genuinely a sensory explosion.

After finishing the first rich savory dish, it’s only natural to let the taste buds rest a little. So before the second dish arrives, we have two tangy, sweet, and not cloying drinks to start with. Don’t assume these drinks are just for pairing with sweets (though they can be)—the best match is actually with the spicy cheese sandwich.

Basically, both the homemade honey lemonade (150 TWD, per cup) on the left and the blackcurrant-blackberry sparkling drink (150 TWD, per cup) on the right have refreshing and sweet flavors. The blackcurrant-blackberry sparkling drink is especially zesty, making it a perfect match for rich dishes.

After a few sips of the drinks, the next item to introduce is the spicy cheese sandwich (180 TWD, per serving).

This savory dish also comes with cheese salad and unsweetened yogurt with cereal (also homemade).

For this spicy cheese sandwich, the most important part is definitely the three different kinds of cheese inside. After asking the staff a bit, we learned it includes cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese, while the spiciness comes from the smoked spicy tomato sauce on the inside. (Just hearing that is already overwhelming!!)

Another reason it’s so irresistible is the crispy bread... (and it’s not too hard to scrape your mouth, which is also extremely important).

Oh my god—taking a bite is just too much!! (pics or it didn’t happen—it’s not an exaggeration). The softened, rich cheese combined with the slightly tangy spicy tomato sauce, paired with the crispy bread and aromatic cheese, really has great texture. After a few bites, paired with the blackcurrant sparkling drink, it resets your taste buds completely.

Next up is something Bear was really interested in trying before the visit—this is a very filling item, and also great for guys with big appetites: the Miss V breakfast (230 TWD, swap toast for cinnamon roll for an extra 30 TWD).

In terms of portion size, there’s really nothing to complain about. Just the four slices of homemade whole wheat toast may look simple but are super soft and delicious (they’re really great). Add to that hot dogs, bacon, and two sunny-side-up eggs, along with unsweetened yogurt, cereal, and cheese salad—whether you compare it for richness or portion size, it’s all excellent.

After three savory dishes, of course, we can’t miss out on the various sweets at Miss V Bakery Cafe.

So the first one to appear is the moist, fluffy, delicious, and not at all vegetable-tasting carrot cake (150 TWD, per slice).

Basically, cakes like this sometimes have a few issues. Carrots aren’t naturally the most popular vegetable, and if you turn them into a cake, you have to be careful about moisture level and crumb texture. Many places’ carrot cakes end up too hard or dry, but here? It’s just soft, comfortable, and easy to eat. Plus, all kinds of mixed nuts add texture and are very distinctive.

Next, the passion fruit cream cheese pound cake (120 TWD, per slice) is also one of the highlights.

The texture is sweet and not too dry, plus the passion fruit aroma makes this seemingly simple pound cake even more enjoyable.

Next up is this Mexican lime pie (135 TWD, per serving). It’s super refreshing without being too sour or too sweet. Basically, it dances on the edge of various tastes, so it has sweetness but also a touch of sourness—all within control. Meow really likes the bottom crust layer—it has texture but isn’t too hard, which is another great feature of this dessert.

Next, the Earl Grey cheese cake (140 TWD, per slice) is something Bear’s mom quite likes. You can taste the Earl Grey tea flavor while also getting the richness of the cheese cake. Both aspects are present without either being neglected—that’s the biggest highlight of this cake.

There’s also the lychee rose raspberry muffin (80 TWD, each).

It has a soft, delicious texture, and you can taste the aroma and tartness of the rose and raspberries.

Next up is the one that both Bear and Meow strongly recommend: the caramel sea salt raw chocolate tart (150 TWD, per serving). At first glance, Bear immediately worried whether it might be too sweet or even impossible to finish… (after all, overly sweet really isn’t Bear and Meow’s thing).

But there’s absolutely no need to worry about it being too sweet. We’ll share more about the flavor later, but in terms of portion size, it’s really quite generous. That’s something Bear and Meow really like—sometimes the taste of a dessert is good, but if the portion is too small, it’s really a shame (because ordering two would be way too much).

Basically, since it’s a caramel sea salt raw chocolate tart rather than a cake, the base tart shell is on the denser side. In terms of the logic of caramel paired with raw chocolate, the aroma is definitely strong, but controlling the sweetness is the most important factor. Otherwise, if it’s overly sweet, it becomes hard to appreciate the varied texture layers—you’d just get a pure sugar rush.

But the addition of sea salt caramel actually allows the salted caramel dark chocolate tart to use the salty flavor to highlight the sweetness of the caramel and dark chocolate, presenting a very elegant and skillful display of different taste sensations. This dish is definitely one of the major highlights of today’s delightful experience.

And for the grand finale, it’s still our beloved double apple pie (NT$170), one of the must-eat and must-take-out items every time we visit.

Packed with an extremely generous amount of apples, you can tell just by looking. Besides its sweet and delicate texture, even after all this time, we still haven’t seen any other apple pie that uses a higher proportion of apples. Ever since our first visit, we’ve been singing praises for Miss V Bakery’s desserts, but this revisit also made us appreciate their transition into Miss V Bakery Café with its new concept blending sweet and savory offerings. Now, besides their excellent handmade desserts, you can also enjoy a wide variety of hearty and satisfying savory brunch options here too.
