Who says chicken strips have to be deep-fried? You can make delicious ones using an oven too. Fresh out of the oven, these chicken strips have a crispy exterior, tender and juicy meat, and a hint of lemon freshness. Don’t miss out on these tasty and guilt-free chicken strips.

Ingredients (Serves 2)
350g chicken breast
2 tablespoons plain yogurt
1 lemon (juiced)
A pinch of black pepper
A pinch of salt
1 egg
1 large bowl of plain cornflakes

Method:
1. First, cut the chicken breast into long strips. Then mix them with yogurt, lemon juice, black pepper, salt, and egg until evenly coated. Marinate for 30–45 minutes.

2. Crush the cornflakes, then coat the marinated chicken strips in the crumbs.

3. Place the chicken in the oven and bake at 220°C for 10–12 minutes.

4. Finally, grate some lemon zest over the cooked chicken for added aroma, and you’re done.

Tips
1. Marinating the chicken with yogurt makes it more tender. (If you don’t have yogurt, milk works too.)
2. Baking time may vary depending on the size of the chicken strips. Adjust as needed.
3. If using a small oven, cover with aluminum foil for the first 8–9 minutes, then remove the foil to let the chicken strips brown.
4. Chicken breast has little fat and can dry out easily, so it’s best enjoyed fresh out of the oven!!

Craving fried chicken but feel guilty? Try these oil-free lemon chicken strips. Made with lean, high-protein chicken breast and refreshing lemon flavor, one bite satisfies your cravings without worrying about excess fat. What are you waiting for with this perfect dish?
